Adirondack Expressions Art Camp is a joint project of the Transitions program and the Paul Nigra Center for Creative Arts. The camp is for young adults aged 15-27 who have learning differences and want to learn about art. Students can choose to stay overnight at the camp or attend just for the day. The activities, projects and social events here will promote each camper’s unique talents, creativity and self-esteem!
Transitions programs teach young adults with autism, ADHD, nonverbal learning disabilities and other learning differences skills such as executive functioning, leadership, self-advocacy, wellness, social relationship building and independent living. Students also experience socially rich recreational opportunities, memorable Adirondack outings, college tours and entertainment opportunities in a safe, supportive environment.

While attending camp riders will participate in the following activities: daily horseback riding instruction, Sensory Trail Stations, proper grooming technique instruction, care of tack, proper use of tack, barn chores and crafts.
