More About Camp
Camp Dogwood is overnight summer camp serving the blind and visually impaired people of North Carolina since 1967. There are 10 one week sessions over the summer. The sessions are for adults, ages 18-100.This is not a nursing or assisted living facility. Campers must be able to independently care for themselves, or if they need caretaker/companion they may bring one with them. Blind/visually impaired North Carolina campers pay a fee of $100.00 for a week. North Carolina companions & caretakers pay a fee of $150.00 a week. Out of state campers, companions,& caretakers pay a fee of $600.00 for the week. The weekly fee includes all room, board & activities. Campers enjoy boating, art lessons, fishing, waterskiing, tubing, swimming, crafts, field trips, musical performances, speakers, etc. Weekly sessions begin in June and end in August.
