More About Camp
Camp Sequoia is an innovative overnight camp for boys and girls ages 8-19 who need help facilitating friendships and developing their social thinking skills. Many (but not all) of our campers are diagnosed with learning disabilities and clinical diagnoses which may include one or more of the following: ADD/ADHD, high functioning Asperger's Syndrome, a Non Verbal Learning Disability, high functioning Autism/high functioning PDD-NOS.
Located on the beautiful campus of the Hill School in Pottstown, Pennsylvania (40 miles northwest of Philadelphia) Camp Sequoia offers a six week full season program, two separate three week sessions and a one-week session for new week campers.
Sequoia offers campers the opportunity to excel in a structured environment where they are surrounded by peers who are like them and staff who understand and embrace them. Our campers thrive on the predictability and consistency of our program and feel empowered by the opportunity to select most of their activities. Our extensive experience working with campers with social skill needs has taught us that children can most effectively develop their social skills when they are taught how to use them experientially, are having fun and are guided by caring adults who truly “get” them.
We welcome the opportunity to meet with your family to determine if Sequoia could be a good fit for your child.
