Session Information
Camp Sunshine offers a program that is unique in the nation. We focus on alleviating the strain an illness takes not only on the ill child, but also on the other members of the immediate family. Families have a chance to have fun together and to meet other families facing similar challenges. There is NO charge to participating families. The program offers professional counseling, workshops, recreational opportunities and on-site physician providing 24 hr medical support for families.
More About Camp
The Camp Sunshine campus includes an activity center with a dining room capacity of 275 people, a large pavilion and stage, teen center, computer lab, arts and crafts area, nursery and tot lot center, indoor swimming pool, medical clinic. Accommodations include residences for 40 families. Each family suite includes 2 bunk beds, 2 twin beds, a futon, refrigerator, microwave and private bath. The outdoor facilities include playing fields, volleyball and basketball courts, 18-hole miniature golf and playgrounds, an archery range, climbing wall, amphitheater, and more! The waterfront offers kayaking, canoeing, swimming, activity area, and a clubhouse for winding down with a book, board game, or chess match. A non-denominational chapel provides a quiet area for reflection and worship.
