Food/Nutritional Notes:

Our food is prepared daily by a local chef. Breakfast is prepared and served by the chef, lunch is a bag lunch available for off site trips of on site picnics, and final dinner preparations are done by the campers and/or their staff.
Session Information
All camper must be accompanied by staff/family who are responsible for the primary care needs. Camp Waban offers swimming and boating sessions but the remainder of the week is free for campers and staff to enjoy as they wish, whether it be enjoying the surrounding area, or relaxing by the lake.
More About Camp
Waban is pleased to offer our summer camp facilities located on Bauneg Beg Pond in Sanford. Individuals, families and group homes, etc. serving or caring for someone with developmental disabilities are welcome to rent the facilities. The campground sits on a quiet, forested corner of the pond with rustic cabins varying in capacity. All cabins have electricity, bathrooms and a refrigerator. Washers and dryers are available in most cabins, but accessible to all if needed. As part of your stay, Waban will provide three meals a day and snack items for the evening. A menu will be made available to you in advance. On site recreation includes kayaks, paddle boats, pontoon boating and two swimming sessions each day under the supervision of a lifeguard. Also included on the site; an area for basketball, an arts and crafts room, a recreation room/lounge with indoor games and movies. There is a fire pit available for evening campfires (wood provided). Camper supervision and staffing is the responsibility of the sponsoring agency, school or family, etc. who will provide for all personal care needs.
