The Double H Ranch was founded by Charles R. Wood and Paul Newman and is a camp for children with life threatening and chronic illnesses. All campers attend for one week, free of charge.

1 Week Session
Double H provides healthy and apppropriate meals for all campers. If campers have specific needs regarding their diet we can accomodate those needs and make sure that nutritional aspects are taken care of.
Session Information
We offer six, one week sessions at a cost of zero to the families and children. Please check our website for current summer dates.

The mission of the Double H Ranch is to provide specialized programs and year-round support for children and their families dealing with life-threatening illnesses. Our purpose is to enrich their lives and provide camp experiences that are memorable, exciting, fun, empowering, physically safe and medically sound.
All programs are FREE of charge and capture the magic of the Adirondacks.
The Double H Ranch facility is located in Lake Luzerne, New York, in the beautiful Adirondack Park. We are approximately 215 miles north of New York City, NY, approximately 220 miles from Boston, MA, and approximately 174 miles south of Montreal, Quebec.
From a program perspective, we have camper cabins that are able to accommodate 126 campers, staff cabins that are able to accommodate a total of 125 staff members and volunteer cabins that are able to accommodate 50 volunteers.
