We offer 3 nutritional meals per day, with an afternoon snack. Most meals contain 1 meat with 2 vegetables, plus dessert. We offer milk, juice, lemonade or iced tea. The camper application allows the parent/guardian to notify us of any special diets - vegetarian, diabetic, gluten free, etc.
Camp ASCCA (Alabama's Special Camp for Children and Adults) offers 1 week camps in the summer and weekend and day camps during the rest of the year. Each session is grouped according to age and type of disability. Some weeks are specific such as: sports camp, diabetic camp, epilepsy, sickle cell, hemophilia, teen camp (teenagers with physical disabilities) Other camps are grouped on a broader scale such as: children with mental and/or physical disabilities or adults with mental and/or physical disabilities. We average between 75 to 100 campers per session.
