Mainstay Life Services' Summer Program offers a unique urban camping experience for adults with developmental disabilities. Participants stay in a dormitory on the Carnegie-Mellon University campus and are able to take advantage of the rich variety of recreational and cultural opportunities that the Pittsburgh area offers.
Meals are provided in a dining hall on Carnegie-Mellon's campus. A variety of foods are available at each meal, and accomodations can be made for any special dietary needs.
Session Information
This years' program runs from 5 July until 1 August. Camp weeks begin on Sunday and end on Saturday. Participants can choose one- or two-week sessions.

Participants stay for one- or two-week sessions in a dormitory on the Carnegie-Mellon University campus and are able to take advantage of the rich variety of recreational and cultural opportunities that the Pittsburgh area offers.
Summer Program participants eat most of their meals at a Carnegie-Mellon dining hall, and are able to use recreational facilities on campus, although most activities take place off campus. Daily off-campus activities include Pirate games, Gateway Clipper cruises, Kennywood Park, Idlewild Park, miniature golf, bowling, the Pittsburgh Zoo and Aquarium, various museums, Phipps Conservatory, and movies.
The program fee includes all meals and activities.
