More About Camp
Northwest Center has served people of all abilities - particularly those with the most profound developmental disabilities, such as Down syndrome, cerebral palsy and autism - in the greater Seattle area since 1965. Northwest Center Teens is our newest program - an inclusive out-of-school-time program for teens with working parents. In this program, where teens with disabilities and their normally developing peers learn and socialize together, they find out that engagement among people of all abilities and all experiences evokes the best qualities of everyone involved.
Supported by a 1:4 staff to youth ratio, we accept all teens interested in participating and having fun. Staff with work with participants and families to ensure teens personal, emotional and medical needs are met. Additional assistance will be provided if participant needs individual attention.
Activities include, but are not limited to, outings into the community daily, shopping skills, life and social skills, gardening, nutrition, cooking, sports, outdoor exploration, tutoring and fun/recreation.
NWC Teens is a qualified respite care provider. If you have state assistance from the Department of Disibilities, or DSHS, please contact us for billing and payment options. Scholoraships are available to families who qualify.
