For 1 week camps, campers will need to bring a bag lunch and a snack. For 2 week camps, campers will need to bring a snack.
Session Information
Alison Ratner, LCSW will be offering social skills group therapy camps throughout the summer. Topics covered will include: making and keeping friends, conversation skills, joining in with peers, appropriate use of humor, managing impulsivity, frustration management, connecting with peers, and sportsmanship.
SCHEDULE OF CAMPS
1.June 4-14 9:00am-12:30pm Boys entering 2nd and 3rd
2.June 4-8 (Monday-Friday, 1 week only) 9:00am-3:00pm Girls entering 2rd and 3th grades
3.June 18-28 9:00am-12:30pm Girls entering 4th and 5th
4.June 18-22 (Monday-Friday, 1 week only) 9:00am-3:00pm Boys entering 6th and 7th grades
5.June 25-29 (Monday-Friday, 1 week only) 9:00am-3:00pm Boys entering 4th and 5th grades
6.July 16-26 9:00am-12:30pm Girls entering 6th, 7th and 8th grades
7.July 16-26 1:00pm-4:30pm Boys and Girls entering K and 1st grades
8.July 30-August 9th 10:00-1:30pm Teenage Community Skills for High Schoolers

*Due to parental request, all groups will meet Monday-Thursday for 2weeks (not Monday-Friday) and will be 3.5 hours long.

Alison will also be offering weekly 1-hour social skill groups throughout the summer.

More About Camp
Groups will be a place for kids to have fun with same aged peers, learn and practice social skills, receive feedback in a safe and supportive environment from trained clinicians and peers, and to gain confidence and experience with making and keeping friends. We will use games, activities, projects, arts and crafts, improvisational drama, and team work challenges. Groups for teenagers may include some outings in the community. Parents will receive support and feedback from the therapist throughout the summer and additional follow up if requested. Please contact Alison for any additional information.
