St Francis Camp designs the menu based upon the USDA Nutritional Guidelines as published by the US Government. We do offer special diets as required. Again the camp application serves as the correspondence concerning dietary needs of our campers.
Session Information
St Francis Camp operates from early June until late August. Cost per week is $450.00. We offer a wide variety of activities that are geared specifically to the population we are serving during a given week. The camp application gives us the necessary information to decide the activities that will be offered.
More About Camp
St Francis Camp is located on Goose Lake in Hillsdale County of Michigan. We offer a rustic environment to our campers while still providing daily living abilities to all campers. We stress learning daily living skills so our campers can return home and have learned something that can be carried with them in the future. All campers are housed in dormitory style buildings. They arrive at 3 pm on Sunday and are picked up no later than 11 am on Friday. Our camper to staff ratio is maintained at 3 to 1 which meets the guidelines of the State of Michigan Department of Human Services. We hold a child and adult foster care license from the state and undergo extensive inspections from the Health Department, Fire Safety Department and Licensing Department annually. We have been in operation since 1985 and have served well over 6,000 campers in that period of time. Our camp is situated on 36 acres, 19 acres which are land.
