Dates:

-First session starts June 5
-Sessions last 5 days (Sunday or Monday through Friday)
-10 sessions this summer


Who can apply:

This summer we will serve children ages 7 - 15 with chronic disease
-Blood diseases - Hemophilia or other bleeding disorders, Sickle Cell Anemia, Aplastic anemia
-Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis and other rheumatologic diagnosis
-Heart, Kidney, and Liver Disease
-Spina Bifida
-Cancer
-Burn Survivors
-Severe Skin Disease
-Seizure Disorders
-HIV or Immune Deficiency
More About Camp
Medical Coverage:
-Medical staff includes a full time medical director (pediatrician - subspecialty is hematology / oncology) and 4 staff nurses
-Will also have 1 - 2 physician volunteers who are specialists in the disease group and 4+ volunteer nurses each session
-The Body Shop (infirmary) is a state of the art medical complex
-Functions like a doctor's office / hospital clinic.
-Cares for kids with bug bites, ankle sprains, stomach aches
-Provides care for kids who get chemotherapy, IV infusions, etc
