More About Camp
Camp Baker is owned and operated by the Greater Richmond ARC. Campers reside in our new barrier-free residential retreat complete with handicap-equipped bathrooms that provide state-of-art facility for those with disabilities. Counselors are carefully selected and are throughly background screened and provided intensive hands-on training during counselor orientation. Staffing ratio varies from 1-to-1 staff to camper to 1-to-4 staff to camper, based upon each camper's needs. Activities available include swimming, horseback riding, nature, arts and crafts, sensory room, computers, photography, sports and games, fishing, camping, talent show, music and drama, and so much more! Campers will benefit from developing new friendships, improving social skills, building confidence, greater self-esteem, developing leisure time activites, environmental awareness, and having great fun while making life-long friendships. We offer Residential Camp, Day Camp, and year around Respite services. Please contact CampBaker@Richmond.org for more information.
