Camp Oakhurst, located on 15 acres near the New Jersey shore and 55 miles from New York City, serves 500 physically disabled children, teens and adults each year through a summer camp and year round respite programs.
Camp scholarships are awarded based on family income and family size. Other factors, such as a recent job loss, illness, extraordinary expenses for shelter, medical care or rehabilitation equipment may be taken into consideration. No one is denied service because of inability to pay.

Camp Oakhurst is 55 miles south of New York City, but for the 500 children, teens and adults with physical and developmental disabilities who attend camp or vacation here each year, it feels like a long way from home. Camp Oakhurst's mission is to improve the quality of life for youth and adults with physical and developmental disabilities and their families through recreational, educational, social and residential programs. Camp Oakhurst was established in 1906 and is located on a scenic 15 acre site in Oakhurst, New Jersey in Momnouth County about one mile from the Atlantic Ocean. Campers live in easy accessible modern cabins, surrounded by tall trees, grass and fresh air, with the counselors, support and adapted facilities it takes to make their camp/vacation a fun and memorable experience.
