Transitions programs teach young adults with autism, ADHD, nonverbal learning disabilities and other learning differences skills such as executive functioning, leadership, self-advocacy, wellness, social relationship building and independent living. Students also experience socially rich recreational opportunities, memorable Adirondack outings, college tours and entertainment opportunities in a safe, supportive environment.
Adirondack Expressions Art Camp is a joint project of the Transitions program and the Paul Nigra Center for Creative Arts. The camp is for young adults aged 15-27 who have learning differences and want to learn about art. Students can choose to stay overnight at the camp or attend just for the day. The activities, projects and social events here will promote each camper’s unique talents, creativity and self-esteem!
Breira B'Ramah is a four-week inclusion program for children with mild to moderate social or emotional challenges. This program is designed for campers entering fourth through eighth grades. Breira campers live in bunks with typical campers and are integrated into all activities, guided by dedicated, trained staff.
