Siblings

Camp Comfort is designed for children ages 6 - 12. Siblings are able to attend camp together and are typically assigned to different groups to provide them an opportunity to have an individualized experience through their grief journey at camp. Parents and caregivers are invited to join the last hour of camp for a Service of Remembrance.

Camp Comfort is a free camp! A $25 registration deposit is the only cost, which can be refunded.

At our weekend camp, campers stay for two nights and sleep in cozy cabins at the Rocky Mountain Village Easter Seals Camp in Empire, Colorado. Weekend camp dates: June 12-14, 2026 and July 10-12, 2026. Campers attend one session.

At our day camp, campers join camp from 8 am - 4 pm at the Arbor House at Maple Grove Park in Golden, CO. Day camp dates: July 21 - 23.

Meals will be provided and will meet individual dietary needs and requests.

At Camp Comfort, children learn ways to cope with their grief through workshops and activities, building skills to help them now and throughout their lives. Grief workshops are facilitated by a grief specialists and are balanced with exciting recreational and creative activities, so that children feel free to have fun and just be kids. Campers build meaningful relationships with their adult "buddy" and with fellow campers who have also experienced a loss of someone special.
