Nestled in the Laurel Highlands of Somerset County, Pennsylvania, Camp PARC welcomes campers to one of its three summer camping sessions, held each year in July. All of the sessions are residential programs, meaning all of the counselors and campers will stay on the campground day and night for the duration of the session.

The four-night, five-day Adult Mini-Camp Session is a specifically designed program to meet the needs of adults, ages 18 and older, with intellectual disabilities who have limited physical mobility/decreased agility and are unable to keep the pace of the full week camping session.
2024 Session Dates: July 7 - July 11

The four-day, three-night Youth Mini Camp Session provides a camping experience for children, ages 6-17, with special needs.
2024 Session Dates: July 14 - July 17

The Adult Full Week Session is a full-week, overnight camping session offered to adults, ages 18 and older, with developmental disabilities.
2024 Session Dates: July 21 - July 27

Camp PARC's programs are designed for people who have mental retardation or developmental disabilities related to autism, cerebral palsy, brain injury, and Down, Tourette, and other syndromes. Many clients also have physical disabilities, hearing or vision impairment, and medical conditions such as diabetes or epilepsy.

The campsite is situated on rugged terrain, and most buildings are not wheelchair accessible. All campers need to be both ambulatory and continent to attend.

Camp PARC provides three well-balanced, nutritious meals daily, plus two snacks. All food is prepared by an experienced Food Service professional. Our experienced kitchen staff has accommodated calorie-restricted, diabetic, sodium-restricted, and allergy-related diets.

For over 60 years, Camp PARC has provided top-quality care for our special campers during the week of camp, while also providing the families and primary caregivers of these campers with much-needed respite. The summer camping program is often a life-changing experience for both junior counselors and campers, creating friendships surpassing the norms of society and time.
