Children 12 to 17 throughout the Southeast diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) now have a special Jewish summer camp with a supportive environment that encourages social interaction and personal growth. Beginning this summer, Camp Ramah Darom will offer a new Tikvah program with two four-week summer experiences designed specifically for ASD campers.
Each counselor is responsible for leading 1-2 campers each session through a week of typical camping activities, such as swimming, arts and crafts, hiking, boating, etc. Responsibilities include adapting activities and environments to camper needs, assisting campers in areas of communication, personal care, and other deficit areas, and encouraging participation.
Camp Tall Tree provides a traditional overnight summer camp experience. Our program aims to serve kids and young adults on the Autism Spectrum, as well as their siblings and neurotypical peers. We offer 4 programs: Main Camp for kids on the spectrum, Explorers for young adults to practice life skills, Siblings for kids with a sibling with a diagnosis, and Peers for neurotypical teens interested in diverse friendships.
Camp Care is for kids with autism to have the opportunity to attend a fun-filled summer camp. At Camp CARE, we recognize that every child is unique. We are committed to providing supports to promote the individuality and independence of each camper. Camp days for children with ASD are filled with learning opportunities, outdoor activities, and community outings. Staff is ABA trained and experienced working with kids with ASD.

ARCh Camp Pow Wow welcomes children and adults with learning disabilities, cognitive challenges, autism spectrum disorders, physical health difficulties and a variety of other diagnoses. Some campers use wheelchairs, walkers or other devices to enhance mobility, while others require a regimen of medications or diligent monitoring of blood sugar.

Summit Camp serves campers, ages 8 - 19, with issues of AD/HD, Aspergers syndrome, NVLD, mild Learning Disabilities, and/or challenging behaviors at our Honesdale, PA. campus. Summit Travel, ages 15-19, is a continuation service, this summer visiting major destinations with the same support systems for our older campers.
Transitions programs train young adults with autism, ADHD, nonverbal learning disabilities and other learning differences in skills such as executive functioning, leadership, self-advocacy, wellness, social relationship building and independent living. Camp Easter Seals UCP provides a traditional camping experience for children and adults with physical and intellectual disabilities. Located in Craig County near Roanoke, VA, in a beautiful mountain setting. The camp features eight seperate living cabins and various activities including an outdoor swimming pool and Craig Creek for canoeing.
