Residential: $1,350* per week (includes room and board)
Day Scholar: $600* per week (campers attend 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. - breakfast, dinner and overnight lodgings are not provided)

Room and board is included in the cost of admission for the Adirondack Expressions Art Camp. Campers will stay in supervised local apartments. Basic furnishings and amenities are provided.

Financial Assistance NOT Available

Campers have three regular meals and two snacks daily and specialized diets are always honored. We support good health and have dietary oversight to provide gluten-free, peanut-free, diabetic, and vegan diets. Other considerations may be accommodated.

The Paul Nigra Center for Creative Arts, a program of The Lexington Foundation, is the proud home of Adirondack Expressions, a summer art camp for young adults aged 15 - 27 with learning differences who love art and want to spend a week creating in the beautiful Adirondack mountains. Campers can expect to work on fun and educational art projects with experienced artists for teachers, as well as learn independent living skills and build social skills through partnership with the Transitions program. There are opportunities here for budding artists of all interests and skill levels.

Adirondack Expressions Camp projects, activities and social events promote creativity, individual talent, choice, social interaction and self-worth. The Sunday to Friday camp sessions include housing in local supervised apartments, meals, activities and art classes at the Nigra Arts Center. Campers take two classes per day in topics such as painting, paper crafts, woodworking, photography and much more. Adirondack Expressions Art Camp offers a beautiful, fun and safe environment for participants to immerse themselves in a variety of art forms. Adirondack Expressions Camp is a sleepaway camp, but there is a day rate for students who either can't or don't want to stay in dorms. This is a perfect opportunity for those who are in the area on vacation with their families!

Personal safety and security is a basic element of Adirondack Expressions. The safety of every camper is of utmost importance, and each is provided with access to counseling, medical and staff supports via a comprehensive network of on-call professionals that are available 24 hours a day. The housing options are equipped with fire and personal safety equipment such as fire and smoke alarms, detailed evacuation plans, and emergency procedures and contact instructions.

Staff are available 24 hours a day to provide guidance and support as needed. From 7 a.m. until 10 p.m., staff assist with reminders for medication, self-care and other daily living activities. During the overnight hours of 10 p.m. to 7 a.m., staff are also always available.
