The cost is $850 for the week for OVERNIGHT campers and $700 for DAY campers, Sunday to Friday (Early Bird Discounts & financial aid are available on a first-come-first-serve basis).

Financial Assistance Available

CAMPER SCHOLARSHIPS FOR 2024 (available for Summer Camp only)

Camp Idlewild provides scholarships each year, based on need and availability of funds. The Campership Application is part of our regular Summer Camp Application process.

When you are completing your registration, the financial assistance portion will be towards the end of the Summer Camp Application. In order to be eligible for financial assistance, it is required to complete the entire application as well as the Campership Application. With our Camp being a newly launched program, our scholarships are limited to Summer Camp Only. Camp Idlewild will be fundraising throughout the year so that we will be able to provide assistance to as many families as possible. Camp scholarships will be given on a first-come, first-served basis while funds are available. We offer opportunities for partial financial assistance only. We encourage families to reach out to their community and civic groups for possible scholarship opportunities.

Our food service staff works hard to provide a healthy, kid-friendly menu for all our campers and staff members to enjoy. We do accommodate special diets, such as vegetarian, diabetic, gluten-free, dairy-free, and vegan options for an additional charge and you have the option to prepare and bring food for your camper during their stay.

Camp Idlewild is a nonprofit organization located in Land O Lakes, Florida (Tampa Bay Area). The camp is built on 140 private acres and is surrounded by Florida's natural landscape of cypress trees and a private 65-acre spring-fed lake. This location provides the perfect setting to enjoy many outdoor activities while having a whole lot of fun!

Our programs offer opportunities for campers to explore new interests, strengthen their skills and expand their comfort zones through adapted programs such as nature studies, swimming, arts & crafts, sports and games, treasure hunting adventures, hiking, dancing, music, drum circles, drama, horseback riding, pet therapy, yoga, canoeing, paddle boating, boat rides, archery, storytelling, campfires and so much more!
