At both Grow Thru Play and Parent to Child we see children as a whole being; with every system interrelating and connecting with each other.

Grow Thru Play's sensory rich environment provides the basis which helps build a foundation for social learning. Classes support sensory processing and self-regulation which is an important first step for developing higher level skills including attention, social interaction, and language. Obstacle courses, music, group games, and swing activities in a sensory-motor gym support gross motor development and crafts support fine motor development. We will incorporate themes of core social development and play to help improve motivation and participation as well as enhance natural social experiences and peer interactions, giving a context to concepts of cooperation, sharing, and friendship management.

At Parent to Child children will experience self-expression, creative problem solving and group work through art therapy; focus, regulation, and following rhythm through music therapy; and interactive and cooperative play through speech and language development. Our team of therapists will create a fun, engaging and child-focused curriculum each day to follow along the themes of core social development from Michelle Garcia Winner's Social Thinking model. We will develop concepts of cooperation and sharing, friendship management, as well as expected and unexpected social behavior for different settings and with different people. Children will have fun and have an enhanced sense of self-expression in our time together.
