Easterseals Camp Wawbeek has 8 camp sessions during the summer. Three adult 6-day sessions and 2 week kids/teens session, 1 6-day social group for young people with high functioning autism, and 1 6-day transitions camp session. Weekend programs over the school year are also available.

Financial Assistance Available

Minimal assistance is provided through camperships. There is only a limited number available.

Three meals a day are offered - with all the food groups present at meals with lunch and dinner having a full salad bar, able to manage vegetarians, and g-tube feedings if necessary.

Easterseals Wisconsin Camps has two camp programs. Camp Wawbeek works with individuals of all abilities able to function in a small group of 1 counselor with 3-4 campers. Activities your loved one will participate in are the traditional camp programs (crafts, sports, nature, swimming, and camping out) and ropes course, canoeing, and fishing. Staff assist campers with all personal care (e.g. toileting, showering, dressing, feeding, and transfers into and out of their wheelchair) and recreational activities throughout the day. Staff go through an interview, reference and criminal background check prior to starting work at camp.
