Inclusion Camp
1 or 2 week sessions
July 8 - 14 & July 15-21
Inclusion camp brings our traditional camp experience for everyone! Whether you have ADD, Aspergers, use a wheelchair, cane, are from a foster home, military family or are a sibling or friend of someone who is coming to camp, this session is for you.

Challengers Camp 18+
1 or 2 week sessions
July 22 - 28 & July 29 - Aug 4
This session is designed for persons who have physical or cognitive challenges. Adults in this session will have the opportunity to socialize with like peers through a variety of activities designed to meet each camper's individual needs. Campers will have some choice in their schedule to attend their favorite activities whether it is sports, swimming, hiking, music etc.

Challengers Camp for Children
1 or 2 week sessions
Aug 5 -11 & Aug 12 -18
Activities are designed to meet the individual needs of campers. Small group activities are planned to engage children while working on fine and gross motor skills, socialization, and providing a traditional camping experience. Children will have the opportunity to explore camp's natural setting with hands on programming in arts, nature, sports, aquatics, music, games, boating, fishing and more.

Blind/Visually Impaired Camp
1 or 2 week sessions
Aug 5 -11 & Aug 12 -18
Camp Marcella is traditionally know for its' excellence in programming for campers who are blind or visually impaired. Campers will experience traditional camp activities designed to meet their needs as a person with visual impairment. Campers will engage in fun activities with like peers to create an unique bond with someone who lives with similar obstacles. Campers will feel a sense of belonging that they will take home throughout the school year, having a network of peers to connect with for a lifetime.

Financial Assistance Available

Camperships are given to campers who cannot afford to attend camp due to financial strain. A financial aide packet will need to be filed prior to May 15 to include the previous year tax return and two recent pay stubs.

Our camp houses a professional chef who works with our Registered Nurse and Director to provide a menu that fits all campers' unique dietary needs. We have the ability to properly puree food, have specialized assistive utensils, cups, and plate/bowls. We offer vegetarian, vegan, gluten free, nut free, sugar free, and will accommodate any other dietary needs.

Camp Marcella is ADA accessible for all campers with ramps, paved paths, braille/large print signs and more! The pool has a zero depth ramp with water wheelchairs and walkers. A bench sits with jets in the heated saline pool. Our lakefront boasts a low ramped dock to allow for persons with limited mobility to easily board our boats. All of our physical education, arts, and nature equipment have adaptive counterparts to allow any camper to engage in the planned activities. Campers have large twin beds and cubby space in an 8 person cabin that can sleep 4 counselors in a separate room. Camper counselors remain with campers throughout the day to ensure all of their needs are met. Our college age staff attend training camp prior to camper arrival. We house a professional chef and have an RN on camp 24/7.
