The mission of Camp AmeriKids is to enhance the lives of youth living with the challenges of HIV/AIDS and sickle cell disease by providing an enriching summer camp experience, year-round skill building and a supported transition to adulthood.

The Double H Ranch was founded by Charles R. Wood and Paul Newman and is a camp for children with life threatening and chronic illnesses. All campers attend for one week, free of charge.

Children with cancer and other serious diseases are given the opportunity to enjoy activities they would normally be restricted from due to their illness. Dream Street brings the dream of normal childhood activities to reality. It is an environment in which no child sits on the sidelines or has to worry about feeling different.

We plan our activities and structure to give your child a memorable camp experience. Summer Day Camp will provide the opportunity to experience the fun of summer while developing a friendship with a volunteer and other campers. Day Camp combines learning critical social skills with a fun and engaging camp experience.
