Champions Special Ministries is a faith-based nonprofit ministry based in Overland Park, KS. We hold and direct Day Camps for kids and young adults with disabilities across the Nation.
Camp designed to engage children with physical, cognitive or behavioral challenges in traditional camp activities. Environment designed to provide all campers with appropriate opportunities to socialize with like peers. Our staff are specially trained to work with children and adults with physical disabilities, cognitive delays, and work with all behaviors.
Camp Pennwood provides young people with intellectual disabilities the opportunity to enjoy a traditional day camp. Campers participate in activities such as arts and crafts, archery, swimming, and musical activities during the five-week summer run.
Offering day and overnight camps for youth with developmental disabilities. Campers will participate in nature programs, arts & crafts, sports and games, music, and zoo visits during day camp weeks. Camp LIGHT is a summer camp for children ages 6-17 (plus one week for adults with special needs), located in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley. Our mission is to show kids with special needs and circumstances that life is only limited by their imagination, and to give them new tools and skills, along with love and support, to inspire them to become anything they can dream.
Leaping Beyond's mission is to provide access to adaptive sports opportunities and honor children with special needs. Leaping Beyond offers week long adaptive sports camps in the Summer as well as swimming classes in the Fall and Spring at various locations throughout Central Arkansas. All programs are led by pediatric physical therapists.
