Camp LIGHT is a summer camp for children ages 6-17 (plus weeks for adults with special needs), located in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley. Our mission is to show kids with special needs and circumstances that life is only limited by their imagination, and to give them new tools and skills, along with love and support, to inspire them to become anything they can dream.

Brainy Ridge is a nonprofit camp dedicated to providing enriching, medically supported experiences for children and families affected by chronic illnesses and disabilities. Camp Dream is a recreational, traditional summer camp experience for children and young adults with moderate to severe physical and developmental disabilities. Camp Dream is 100% volunteer, offering a one-to-one camper-counselor ratio. Camp Dream is a barrier free environment that has never turned away a camper due to the severity of their disability or their financial capability.

Summer Day Camp is an exciting four-week program that will give children with special needs a fun and active summer. We plan our activities and structure to give your child a memorable camp experience. Summer Day Camp will provide the opportunity to experience the fun of summer while developing a friendship with a volunteer and other campers. Day Camp combines learning critical social skills with a fun and engaging camp experience.

This is a traditional, residential summer camp for children and adults with all types of disabilities or special needs. June through August. There are 6 day and 12 day sessions for children 6 - 21, and 6 day sessions for adults 21+. There are two weeks each summer just for children with Autism ( 6 - 21) where each child has his/her own counselor. Generally there are 3 camp participants per one counselor, but one to one counseling is available.

At NCTRC, we believe in the power of inclusion and the joy of exploration (and of course in the magic of horses!). Nestled in the serene countryside of Mebane, our camp offers an enriching experience for children aged 6 to 11, with or without disabilities. And guess what? Even 5-year-olds who are ready for a morning adventure are welcome too!
