With both day and sleepaway boarding options, Oakland’s five-week summer program offers a healthy mix of academic support and traditional camp fun. Students ages 6-15 (9-15 for boarding), with or without learning difficulties, enjoy small class sizes and 1:1 instruction along with recreational activities like horseback riding, swimming, archery, arts, and more.
Camp LIGHT is a summer camp for children ages 6-17 (plus weeks for adults with special needs), located in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley. Our mission is to show kids with special needs and circumstances that life is only limited by their imagination, and to give them new tools and skills, along with love and support, to inspire them to become anything they can dream.
Camp Friendship is a fun summer program for children who need to work on social, communication, and friendship skills. Making friends isn’t always easy! At our program, kids will have tons of fun working on social skills while doing all kinds of fun camp-like activities.

Brainy Ridge is a nonprofit camp dedicated to providing enriching, medically supported experiences for children and families affected by chronic illnesses and disabilities. Through specialized programs, expert supervision, and a strong sense of community, the camp fosters resilience, independence, and lifelong friendships.
