The social skills summer camp in association with MindWare Academy is geared at teaching social skills to children with Dyslexia, Asperger's, High Functioning Autism and NLD. The social skills summer camp is designed to teach social skills in a fun, creative and structured environment.

Students participate in their choice of college or vocational courses while enhancing their social development and independent living skills. Students live in dorms and attend non-credited courses at a nearby college campus.

Looking for an extraordinary camp experience for your child this summer? Look no further than NCTRC's Inclusive Summer Camps. Camps are open to children ages 5-12, with or without disabilities. Campers participate in a variety of activities from 9 am - 2 pm each day, including horseback riding, arts and crafts, learning about farm animals, and painting ponies!
Our camps are geared towards students at 3rd - 8th-grade academic levels or rising 9th graders to first-year college students. Both camps enhance social skills and maintain academic performance. Elementary/middle school students will develop their social skills through team-building exercises, enriching activities, and exciting field trips. High school focus topics will include physical well-being, mindfulness, and Adulting 101.

Camp Virginia Jaycee serves children and adults with special needs in an outdoor camping environment. The counselor to camper ratio is 1:3 and there is a Certified Health Care Provider on duty at all times.
