The Brighter Horizons Program provides teens and young adults with developmental disabilities a supportive environment to increase independence and self confidence through a functional life skills based lens. Participants are given the opportunity to foster relationships with many residents within the Winchester and surrounding areas.
For campers ages 12+, sessions from July10 - Aug 25; ratio 4:1 camper-staff;
We care about the mental health of our campers and their families. Our peer-to-peer mentorship sets our youth up with skill development to support future goals and adult independence.
For over 35 years, Camp Shalom has been a leader in summer camp programs for adults with special needs. We've built lasting relationships with group homes and caregivers who trust us to provide meaningful, joy-filled vacations for their clients—and much-needed respite for those who care for them. Many of our guests have been attending for over a decade and eagerly look forward to returning each year.
