The Joyful Hearts program is specially designed for individuals who have developmental disabilities. This program provides a quality camping experience in a safe, Christian environment.

A 6 weeks summer day camp for children (4-20) with Special Needs. We are modeled after a traditional town day camp with Specials, trips off site, and swimming.

Camp Fatima provides free one week sleep away sessions for school-aged children in August. We also offer sleep away weekend programs for adults with disabilities; two in the spring and two in the fall. A NEW Theater Weekend Program is now offered in the Spring. Camp Fatima of New Jersey, is an all-volunteer, non-sectarian 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to providing free recreational programming to individuals with developmental disabilities.

Camp Pennwood provides young people with intellectual disabilities the opportunity to enjoy a traditional day camp. Campers participate in activities such as arts and crafts, archery, swimming, and musical activities during the five-week summer run.

The camp program is facilitated by a professional team of specialized counsellors, it offers individualized care and a range of programming designed to provide a rich social and recreational experience.

For over 30 years Camp Shalom has been a leader in summer camp programs for adults who have special needs. We have built many relationships with group homes and caregivers who rely on our camp every year to offer respite for caregivers and parents along with providing fun and meaningful vacations for their clients.
